This is an original OEM vintage BMW Airhead lower triple tree assembly, also known as the lower steering stem or fork cross brace. Made from durable forged steel, it secures the front fork tubes, supports front-end alignment, and provides the central steering pivot. The assembly includes the steering stem column, lower tapered roller bearing, knurled preload adjuster ring, main retaining hex nut, and heavy washer. Factory casting mark 245.3.62.860.02 is stamped on the underside of the yoke. Compatible Models Designed for 36mm front fork tubes and compatible with: BMW R90S: 1973–1976 BMW R90/6: 1973–1976 BMW R75/6: 1973–1976 BMW R60/6: 1973–1976 BMW R100/7: 1976–1977, early 36mm fork models BMW R75/5 and R50/5: 1969–1973, when used with matching steering head bearings and correct neck length.
