This is an OEM cast aluminum rear axle collar chain adjuster, also known as a chain tensioner block or chain puller. It is designed for box-section steel swingarms used on early Honda sport and touring motorcycles from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Its main function is to accurately position the rear wheel axle inside the swingarm slots. The threaded adjuster stud pulls the axle block backward to set correct drive chain slack, while the side alignment notches help match wheel position marks on both sides of the swingarm. Compatibility List Honda CBR600F1 Hurricane — 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990 Honda XL600V Transalp — 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 Honda CB-1 / CB400F — 1989, 1990 Casting mark KV0 confirms the correct engineering profile for this style. This block does not fit later CBR600 F2, F3, F4, or F4i cartridge-style adjusters.
