This is an OEM Honda rear drum brake backing plate panel, also known as a brake hub cover or brake spider, designed for vintage twin-cylinder motorcycles. Cast from strong aluminum alloy, it features reinforced support ribs leading toward the brake anchor mount. The assembly includes the splined brake cam pivot and steel brake actuator lever. It supports the rear brake shoes, return springs, and linkage while closing the wheel hub drum and securing the brake assembly to the swingarm.
