This is an authentic Honda OEM rear brake drum backing plate, also known as a brake panel assembly, made for classic dual-sport and off-road motorcycles. Cast from aluminum with a black exterior coating, this rear brake panel encloses the drum brake setup and supports the brake cam, anchor pins, brake shoes, wheel hub, and swingarm connection. The inner side includes a central axle sleeve, cast reinforcement webbing, brake cam bore, and fixed anchor pin to keep the brake shoes and return springs aligned. The outer side features an integrated horizontal brake stay slot that locks into the swingarm and helps resist brake torque during operation.
