This OEM Yamaha engine oil filter cover housing is made for classic air-cooled inline engines. The cast aluminum cover seals the oil filter element cavity against the lower engine crankcase. Its 15-fin outer design helps catch passing air and lower engine oil temperature before circulation. The offset shape provides clearance near exhaust headers and frame tubes. A center alignment recess fits the main oil bypass valve bolt for even pressure across the internal gasket channel.
