This factory original Kawasaki OEM rear wheel drum brake backing plate assembly, also known as a rear brake panel or hub cover, is made in Japan from lightweight cast aluminum alloy. It serves as the backplate for the mechanical rear drum brake system. The inner side includes the main locating pins, anchor pin, and dual-shoe return springs. The outer face has a cast triangular bracing pattern designed to reduce flex during braking, along with an integrated torque arm mount that secures the panel against the motorcycle swingarm.
