It is a main front suspension component designed to support steering control, fork alignment, and front-end stability. Made from strong forged steel, it helps handle road vibration and steering pressure during normal motorcycle operation. The assembly includes a solid central steering stem shaft for the upper and lower steering head bearings. The lower yoke has two precision-bored fork clamping collars with pinch-bolt mounts to hold the fork tubes straight and parallel.
