It mounts directly on the front wheel axle and engages with the wheel hub through built-in drive notches. As the wheel rotates, the internal nylon crown gear turns the steel pinion gear, driving the speedometer cable and sending an accurate road speed signal to the instrument cluster. The cast aluminum outer housing is designed to handle road debris, moisture, vibration, and regular riding stress.
