This is an authentic OEM Yamaha airbox assembly with upper and lower housing sections, designed for the first-generation carbureted Yamaha YZF-R1. Mounted beneath the fuel tank, it supplies stable airflow to the engine while helping prevent dirt and debris from entering the intake system. Made from rigid PP-T30 polypropylene, the housing resists under-tank heat, reduces intake resonance, and maintains secure alignment. The upper section includes twin ram-air intake ducts, while the lower case features four carburetor outlet ports with metal clamps for an airtight, vibration-resistant fit. Compatible Models 1998 Yamaha YZF-R1 4XV / RN01 1999 Yamaha YZF-R1 4XV / RN01 Fitment Notes May physically fit some 2000–2001 YZF-R1 RN04 / 5JJ models, but hose routing, brackets, sensors, and internal intake parts may differ. Not compatible with 2002 and newer fuel-injected YZF-R1 models.
